BRP shut down Evinrude in 2020. We still service them. E-TEC G2, E-TEC G1, FICHT, and legacy 2-strokes — on-site at your driveway, storage facility, or marina.
When BRP discontinued the Evinrude brand in May 2020, thousands of outboards across the Spokane area were suddenly orphaned. Authorized dealers dropped the line, parts inventories started drying up, and many shops stopped accepting Evinrude repair work altogether. Spokane Boat Repair didn't.
We still service every generation of Evinrude — from the flagship E-TEC G2 3.4L V6 built right up through the 2020 shutdown, back through the original E-TEC G1 direct-injection 2-strokes, the earlier FICHT motors, classic carbureted 2-strokes, and the Johnson 2-strokes that ran alongside them. We have OEM parts sourcing relationships and the diagnostic equipment to keep these motors running, and we do it all on-site at your driveway, storage facility, or marina.
The final generation of Evinrude — 150, 200, 225, 250, 300 HP 3.4L V6 and 115, 140, 150 HP 1.9L inline. Injector service, ECM diagnostics, cooling system, auto-winterization programming.
The direct-injection 2-stroke that redefined the platform. 40 HP through 300 HP. Injector service, ECM diagnostics, oil injection system, stator, and powerhead service.
The first-generation direct-injection Evinrudes. Known for injector pack challenges — which is exactly what we specialize in. Injector replacement, ECM, fuel system.
Pre-FICHT Evinrude 2-strokes. The legendary reliable workhorses still running on Spokane-area fishing boats. Carb rebuild, ignition, powerhead service.
Evinrude's sister brand, discontinued in 2007. We service the full Johnson 2-stroke lineup from portable through V6. Parts sourcing for older models included.
The rebadged Suzuki-built 4-stroke line Evinrude sold in the 2000s. Routine service, fuel system, ignition, and lower unit.
Evinrude — especially the direct-injection generations — has a handful of signature issues that come up in the Spokane market. We carry common parts and diagnostic equipment on every call:
The most common question we hear from Evinrude owners: “Is my motor a boat anchor now that BRP discontinued the brand?” Short answer: no. BRP committed to supporting the existing Evinrude fleet with parts and service for 10 years after the shutdown. The aftermarket also stepped in quickly. We have active parts sourcing relationships for every Evinrude generation, from OEM supply still in the channel to quality aftermarket equivalents where OEM is depleted.
If your Evinrude needs a part, call us first. In most cases we can source it within a few days, and for common wear items we have stock on the service truck.
With Evinrude discontinued, the few remaining shops that still work on the brand often have long waiting lists — and most of them still require you to trailer the boat to them, wait weeks, and pay a shop diagnostic fee before any work begins.
We reverse that equation. You call, we come, we diagnose and repair on-site. For Evinrude owners with boats stored at Shadow Storage on Lake Roosevelt or at marinas in Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, or Liberty Lake, mobile service eliminates the trailer-and-wait cycle entirely — critical when shop wait times for discontinued-brand service can run a month or more.
Mobile Evinrude service across the greater Spokane and North Idaho region: Spokane, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Otis Orchards, Cheney, Airway Heights, Fairwood, Dishman, Mead, Post Falls, Coeur d'Alene, Hayden, and Rathdrum. If your boat is in the area, we'll get to you.

BRP's 2020 shutdown did not eliminate the Evinrude fleet — thousands of motors are still on the water in the Spokane area, and we keep them running.

Yes. The G2 is the final generation of Evinrude, built from 2015 through 2020. We have the diagnostic software and the experience to service the full G2 lineup — 115 HP through 300 HP.
Yes. The 1997–2003 FICHT injector pack issue is one of the most common Evinrude repairs we see. We have experience with injector pack replacement, ECM updates, and the long-term reliability fixes the factory issued for the platform.
Depends on the motor, the hours, and what's wrong. We'll give you an honest assessment. Many E-TEC motors have a lot of life left and are worth fixing. Some older 2-strokes with major internal damage make more financial sense to replace. Call and we'll walk through it with you.
Yes. We bring the Evinrude diagnostic software to your boat. The auto-winterize cycle is one of the E-TEC platform's signature features and we run it for storage every fall.
Yes. Spokane Boat Repair is mobile. We come to your driveway, storage facility, marina slip, or a boat ramp. No trailering required for most repairs.
