Spokane Boat Repair installs fish finders, transducers, and other boat electronics at your home, storage lot, or marina. We mount the display, mount the transducer where it will actually read, and run clean, fused power wiring back to the battery.
You don't have to take the boat anywhere. We do the install on the trailer, wherever it's parked.

We install all brands.
A good fish finder installed poorly gives you a bad picture. The two things that go wrong most often are transducer placement and power wiring.
The transducer needs clean, smooth water flowing across it to read properly. If it's mounted behind a strake, rivet line, or anything that stirs up bubbles, you'll get a picture that cuts out or turns to noise at speed.
Where it goes depends on the hull. Aluminum fishing boats like Crestliner and Lund have different mounting considerations than a fiberglass runabout. We look at the hull and mount it where the water runs clean.
Electronics need a steady power supply and a proper fuse. Wiring tapped into whatever's convenient can cause interference on the screen, or a unit that shuts off when the engine starts. We run wiring neatly, fuse it, and route cables where they won't get pinched or chafed.
If the boat already has electrical problems, we can sort those out on the same visit. See our boat electrical repair page.
Installs are quoted at 2 to 4 hours of labor at $200 an hour, plus tax. Where your job lands in that range depends on the boat, the unit, and where the transducer and wiring need to go. We'll give you a quote before we start.
You can supply the unit, or we can quote one for you.

The off-season is a good time to install electronics, because the boat isn't being used. If we're already out to winterize your boat or for spring dewinterization, ask about adding the install to the same visit.

Yes. We're fully mobile and install fish finders and transducers at your home, storage lot, or marina. The boat can stay on the trailer.
Somewhere the water flows smoothly across it, away from strakes, rivets, and anything that stirs up bubbles. The right spot depends on your hull. We look at the boat and mount it where it will read cleanly at speed.
That's usually transducer placement. If it sits in turbulent water or at the wrong angle, the picture breaks up when the boat is moving. Remounting the transducer often fixes it.
That can happen when the unit is wired to a poor power source or a weak connection and the voltage drops during cranking. Proper wiring with a good connection and fuse usually solves it. We can diagnose it on a repair visit.
Yes. We remove the old unit and install the new one. If the new display or transducer doesn't match the old mounting or wiring, we handle that as part of the install.
Yes. We've worked on Crestliner and Lund boats, along with fiberglass boats. Aluminum hulls have their own transducer mounting considerations, and we plan for that.
